D和E都是完整的條件從句，不能和前面的兩個(gè)名詞結(jié)構(gòu)（increased lung capacity, greater range）構(gòu)成平行。同時(shí)，and后的兩個(gè)if從句沒(méi)有主句與其搭配，所以D和E排除。
